Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern use of ScanAtlas, including optional subscriptions, backup, sync, product lookup, printing, webhook delivery, exports, and other third-party integrations that a user chooses to enable.

1. Using ScanAtlas

By using ScanAtlas, a user agrees to use the app only in compliance with applicable law and these Terms. Each user is responsible for how they scan, store, export, share, and automate data through the app.

ScanAtlas may not be used to violate privacy, intellectual property, security, export, or other legal rights, or to transmit unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or unauthorized content.

2. User content, permissions, and destinations

Users remain responsible for the scan data, imported files, labels, custom fields, OCR content, webhook destinations, spreadsheets, backup targets, printer settings, and other content or configurations they create or connect through ScanAtlas.

Users are responsible for confirming that any webhook endpoint, spreadsheet, printer, cloud destination, Wi-Fi network, share target, or other third-party service connected through ScanAtlas is appropriate for the data they choose to send there and that they have the necessary rights and permissions to do so.

3. Google features and third-party services

Some ScanAtlas features depend on third-party services, including Google APIs, mobile app stores, RevenueCat, advertising providers, product lookup providers, printer hardware or network services, and any webhook, sheet, file, share, or sync destination configured by the user. Those services remain subject to their own availability, policies, and terms.

If a user connects Google Sheets sync or Google Drive backup, the user authorizes ScanAtlas to use the granted Google permissions only to perform the requested feature. If Google or another provider restricts access, changes its APIs, or suspends an account, related features may stop working.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

Paid features may be offered through in-app purchases or subscriptions. Billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are generally handled by the platform where the subscription was purchased, subject to that platform’s rules.

If a paid feature depends on a third-party provider or platform capability, availability may vary by device, region, network environment, or platform policy.

5. Acceptable use and operational limits

Users may not use ScanAtlas to interfere with networks, printers, devices, APIs, or third-party services, to send abusive webhook traffic, to bypass provider restrictions, or to process data in ways that violate applicable law or the terms of connected services.

ScanAtlas is intended as a productivity tool and not as a guaranteed archival, legal compliance, medical, emergency, or life-safety system. Users should keep their own safeguards for important workflows and records.

6. Availability, backups, and changes

ScanAtlas may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time. Features that depend on device permissions, local hardware, internet connectivity, printer connectivity, or third-party APIs may fail, change behavior, or become unavailable without notice.

Optional backup and export features reduce risk but do not eliminate the possibility of data loss, sync conflicts, queue failures, printer failures, or third-party delivery errors. Users remain responsible for confirming that important data has been backed up or delivered where required.

7. Disclaimers

ScanAtlas is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, successful sync or backup, successful webhook delivery, or compatibility with every device, printer, third-party service, or network environment.

To the extent permitted by law, ScanAtlas disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement except where such disclaimers are not allowed.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ScanAtlas and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, business interruption, or failed third-party deliveries arising from use of the app.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Updates and contact

These Terms and the Privacy Policy may be updated as the product evolves. If updated Terms are published, continued use of ScanAtlas after the effective date means the updated Terms are accepted.
